| Jeremy is looking forward to returning to his old Hornersville, MO stomping grounds. |
ATV Scene: Are you cool with
your new nickname?
Schell: Yeah.
I think you're the one behind that. It's pretty accurate. There aren't too many
good-ole-boys out here in Southern California. We even named my website after
it. My good friend from home, Kevin Jackson, is behind it. I've been friends
with him from way back in middle school. He puts it all together and helps me
out a lot. Check it out at socalhick.com
ATV Scene: Does the hick thing
work for you out there? Are pulling chicks with that or are they running?
Schell: (Laughing)
The accent works good out here.
ATV Scene: On a serious note.
Congratulations on your second ITP QuadCross Championship.
Schell: Thanks.
ATV Scene: The biggest ATV motocross
series out west now has two years under its belt, how do you feel about its
growth?
Schell: There's
finally some real races out here. The ITP QuadCross series has helped the sport
tremendously. So has the new market we have now. There's real sport quads and
places to race them. Everything, except the pro purse, at the QuadCross series
is great.

ATV Scene: You've
raced both the GNC and the QuadCross events. Are the boys out
east still faster?
Schell: Without
a doubt they are, but I'll tell you what - we're starting to get some genuine
talent out here. The QuadCross series has helped to develop a lot of good up
and coming riders.
ATV Scene: Who is the next best
thing on the left coast?
Schell: Cyle Chislock,
Danny Ragan, Levi Marana...
ATV Scene: How are you preparing
for your big GNC return?
Schell: A lot of
riding. I also mountain bike, go to the gym and run.
ATV Scene: Weightlifting?
Schell: No. No
need for that if you want to go fast.
ATV Scene: Are you planning to
hit all the GNCs?
Schell: We're wanting
to run both the motocross and TTs. That's what I want to do. We definitely know
we're hitting all the motocrosses. We have until June to decide if I hit the
TTs or not. I really want to race them. I've always liked racing the TTs.

| Jeremy said he was excited to see his old Hornersville girlfriend, Eleanor Squeal. |
ATV Scene: How do you feel you
are going to do?
Schell: I know
where I need to be in order to get through a whole twenty minute moto. The first
round is my track. So I'm looking for a good finish there, but it's going to
take me the whole rest of the year to get up to speed to ride with all the guys
again. I'm not going to come out of the box and win a national, but you never
know what's going to happen.
ATV Scene: What
are you riding?
Schell:
I'll be riding the YFZ. Epic, Precision Concepts, Alba
- that's the team that's making all this possible. Allen White is my mechanic.
He'll be out there with me. We're going to give it all we have.
ATV Scene: What's your favorite
Tom Carlson story?
Schell: Brad Warner,
myself and Tom Miller were mocking Tom one year at Muddy Creek. Byron Goggin
got it on video. He didn't know it until he got the video in the mail. It was
great. We got the famous TC butt-crack, his familiar, "just run it boy"
line -- everything. And he never knew we were even filming him.

ATV Scene: What's your favorite
Jake Hitt story?
Schell: Let's see,
there's so many of them. I've got better Jake Hitt stories than this one but
I can't tell most of those. I'll go with '96. I'm standing on the sidelines
watching Shane win the race. He's about to lap a guy. The guy ran him off the
track as Shane tried to pass. I had been around the Hitt's for a while and knew
they weren't going to take that kind of thing lightly. I didn't know Jake all
that well at the time, but I knew he was a crazy bastard, so I ran over there.
Jake ended up in a big fight with the dude. He got hit in the head pretty hard.
It was entertaining, that's for sure.
ATV Scene: Let's wrap this up.
Any parting words?
Schell: I would like to thank
al my sponsors. Allen White for all his hard work, - just everybody. Also Kory
Ellis for letting me stay with him. If it weren't for him, I don't know where
I would be. He's a really good friend. I used to come out here year's back and
race the stadium stuff and stay with him then too. I've always had a blast with
Kory. He's a good guy and I really appreciate him. I don't know how to re pay
him, but one of these days I will.
