Brad Riley took wins in two classes plus an additional podium at Round 5 of the Extreme Dirt Track National Championship Series, held July 21-22 in Ashtabula, Ohio.
Riding medium compound Razr TT tires, Riley won both the Pro and Pro Am Unlimited classes and took second place in Pro Am Production. “The medium compound tires were altogether just awesome. They were getting me off the line really good. In corners, everyone else was sliding, and I was just digging in like I was on rails,” he said. “The track was actually really rough this weekend, but I like it when it’s rough. It helped me out. I can usually take advantage of rougher tracks. It was real dry and slick and got dusty, but the tires just hooked up.”
“In the Pro Am Production race I was in second, but the track was pretty one-lined,” he continued. “I would have had to rub [another rider] to make a pass, and I wasn’t about to do that. I was focused on the Pro race.” Riley leads the overall points standings for Pro Am Unlimited and is now tied for second place in Pro and Pro Am Production.
Maxxis congratulates Brad Riley on his double victory and wishes him the best at Round 6, scheduled for August 11 in Batavia, New York.
