Dalton Millican and his Nitro Fish ATV had a good weekend at the biggest and final event of the year Loretta Lynn’s Dirt Days.
Millican went into the weekend feeling good at what he considers his home track. Loretta Lynn’s Dude Ranch. It is only 140 miles from Millican’s home in Drummonds TN.
Timed qualifying for Pro Am Production went well for Millican qualifying in the 9th position. This gave Millican a decent starting spot for the first Moto. When Moto 1 got underway Millican made the first turn mid-pack. As the race developed Millican battled strong competition to get a good finish. Millican held on for an 8th place finish at the end of this Moto.
Moto 2 saw Millican with a great start making the first turn in the 2nd spot and completing the first lap in the 3rd position. At the mid-way point of the race Millican made a mistake in a corner and lost 6 positions. Millican finished the Moto in the 9th spot. This finish gave Millican a 7th place overall for the weekend.
“I am very proud to leave Loretta’s with a top ten finish. My mechanic Keith Little made some great calls in bike set up for today. It is always fun to race here with so many family and friends able to make it to this event. I have really got thank Kenny Koretsky and Nitro Fish for stepping up to be our major sponsor this year. I have known Kenny since I was a little kid. Kenny has always been a big supporter of my families racing.
This has certainly been a learning year for me moving up to the Pro Am class.
I really have to thank everyone who has supported me over the years. I want you all to know I am going to work harder than ever to give you the kind of finishes that you all deserve” Millican said.
