Saturday's pro heat races got started with Jeremiah Jones (Klotz/Sparks) leading local favorite, Tim Farr (Baldwin/DG). Jones was making his first TT debut of the season and it showed as he surrendered to the many advances from Farr. By lap two Farr took over the lead and left Nathan Dallas (Fischer/Legacy) and Jimmy Elza (Nac's/LRD) to deal with Jones.

Heat two sent Shane "Dogg" Hitt (Sparks/Kames) to the front like he was shot out of a cannon. As Hitt shifted from fourth to fifth down the Ashtabula front straigt he looked at Keith Little (K&K/Sparks/ATV Innovation) and Brad Covington (Johnson ATV) as to say "see ya when it's over". Hitt easily won and went to the main in the fast qualifier position.

In the main event it was much of the same, Hitt instantly left the field with an almost unfair looking advantage. As Hitt put distance between him and the rest of the race, Keith Little steadily held off advances from Farr. Eventually Farr got by but couldn't catch up to Hitt.

The guy to watch the whole weekend was Walsh Racecraft president and rider, Michael Walsh. Walsh passed his way from last in his heat race to earn his spot on the front row of the main. Then in the main, Walsh passed a total of four riders to earn his second pro podium position. Walsh had the crowd on his side. Every other lap he used promoter Bud Fischer's berm-turn to help him sling shot around a total of three different riders on the outside.

Michael Walsh, once again, rode his heart out and earned another pro podium position. This time third, after passing from last place in his heat and around three riders in the main.

Hitt took the win (his fourth consecutive Pine Lake victory). "I'm just glad I got away from him (Farr). In later laps it looked like we were just about even. I couldn't really pull any on him, but I had that early lead that gained me some ground". "Shane always beats me to the first corner on this track. I got held up by a couple of guys and that's all it took", said Farr from the second place spot on the podium.
