Seat Concepts Acquires Quad Tech

seat_concepts_logoSeat Concepts, a premium aftermarket motorcycle seat maker, is happy to announce the acquisition of Quad Tech-ATV. The two companies have had a long time association, with Seat Concepts providing production and design services to Quad Tech’s ATV market. Quad Tech will now become part of the Seat Concepts family. Seat Concepts plans a major influx of development and resources for the Quad Tech line. This will include expanding into the fast growing side by side market.  Quad Tech’s operations will move to the San Jacinto, Ca facility.

Quad Tech’s Billy Pointer – “Owning Quad Tech has been a very rewarding experience. My racers are what pushed me to innovate. I always tried to make something special for them, something that couldn’t be found anywhere else. I then offered those race developed products to my customers. This created a demand for Quad Tech products from every factory sponsored ATV team. To think that it all started with a just seat cover and a carbon fiber hood scoop for the TRX250R is just amazing to me.  I am very thankful #53 Kory Ellis called me for some parts to race with 15 years ago. He took them to the races and the rest is history. I have nothing but full confidence that Seat Concepts will take Quad Tech to the next level in product support and customer support very quickly. ”

Seat Concepts’ Lendon Smith – “We have had a working relationship with Billy Pointer and Quad Tech for over ten years. Our businesses have developed on parallel lines as we focused on motorcycles while they focused on the ATV market. When Billy’s family business interests required his full attention, we saw the opportunity to acquire the premier ATV brand of products and expand into the SxS market too. I feel we can add some much needed revitalization to the business. We have been the exclusive manufacturer of the seat foam products sold by Quad Tech, so it will be a natural and seamless transition. We plan a full re-launch of the brand  that will include a major focus on re-developing the dealer network. We value our dealers and our sales policies reflect our commitment to them.”

A family company, Quad Tech was founded in 1996. Billy Pointer developed Quad Tech out of a hobby and a Love for the sport that started in 1980 with his ATC 70.  His plan was simple: To have his products endorsed by the best riders in the world. That goal was accomplished by the year 2000. Quad Tech products have been on every professional AMA National Championship winning ATV ever since.

Seat Concepts is a maker of complete seats and seat kits for the motorcycle market. They are innovators of products others said couldn’t be done. Their products feature premium quality components and design elements to improve comfort and durability for riders of street, enduro, dual sport and adventure motorcycles. With the addition of ATV and Side by Side lines, Seat Concepts will expand their product line to support most major segments of the powersports market.
