
FARR SIGNS WITH HONDA

In the biggest news to hit ATV racing in seventeen years, Honda unveiled the much-anticipated TRX450R at their annual dealer convention in Las Vegas. This is touted as the replacement for the infamous 250R. To prove their commitment, Honda also announced that they have signed nine-time ATV Champion, Tim Farr, to pilot the trick new quad. Farr rode the TRX450R on the stage in front of 2,500 plus Honda dealers for the stunning announcement. In the eighties, Honda's race team was dominant and they are now the first factory to come back to ATV racing. "This is what I have worked for all my career. I am extremely proud that Honda has chosen me to be their rider. I worked with them in the development of the TRX450R and it is an incredible machine. As usual, Honda has raised the bar in ATV's", said Farr following the business meeting. Farr will be contracted to "Ride Red" for the 2004 and 2005 indoor stadium serious as well as the GNC MX and TT series. He will also debut the TRX450R in this November's Baja 1000 race. Farr added, "I could not wait to share this news with all of my loyal sponsors that have backed my racing efforts throughout my career." Farr will be joining fellow Honda riders, Ricky Carmichael, Ben Bostrom, Nicky Hayden, Mike LaRocco, Kevin Windham, Jake Zemke, Kurtis Roberts, Miguel Duhamel, Ernesto Fonseca, and Nathan Ramsey at an autograph session on Thursday.
