Vechery Racing’s Ronnie Higgerson took home a sixth place overall finish and Casey Martin finished eighth overall at High Point Raceway in Mount Morris, Pennsylvania this past weekend at round four of the Mt. Dew AMA ATV motocross series.

With no Ohio round this year, High Point Raceway would mark the home round for Vechery Racing with a quick two and a half hour drive. Pro qualifying was well underway for both Pro riders when Ronnie Higgerson took a nasty spill on one of the new uphill triples. Fortunately for Higgerson he was able to remount and qualify in the top ten again with Martin. As the gate dropped for the first moto, Higgerson would find himself tucked just inside the top ten as the first lap completed. With 11 fast and consistent laps Higgerson would ultimately cross the finish line in sixth place. The second moto would be almost identical to the first as Higgerson would once again find himself just inside the top ten. After another grueling 11 laps on his Elka/Six5Design Honda Higgerson would cross the line in fifth. “I was feeling great coming into this weekend and the first few laps in the first qualifier I had the third fastest lap time then I wrecked on the uphill and it threw off my groove all weekend. Glad I walked away though and still ended up with a 6th overall. Going to recoup and come back even stronger at the next round. Only 2 points out of 5th in the series,” said Higgerson.

Casey Martin would once again have another solid weekend on his Dasa Powered/TDR Built/Maxxis Honda with back to back holeshots in the top ten and a top ten finish in both motos. “I had a good day at High Point Raceway for round four. I finished 10th in Moto 1 and eighth in Moto 2 for an eight overall. My Vechery Racing Honda is working and running great, my endurance is still down but getting better every weekend. Overall, were improving every race! I can’t thank our Vechery Racing team and all of our great sponsors enough,” said Martin.

Vechery Racing/Never Sleep Designs Satellite support riders and Louisiana duo of Alex Pafford and Bryce Barber once again had a solid weekend of racing. Alex would go on to finish ninth in Youth All Star and fifth Schoolboy Senior. Bryce would go on to finish 17th in Open B and 20th in 450B. Along with Alex and Bryce a number of local support riders made their way to High Point to race and show their support of Vechery Racing including Dave Schrock, Jimmy Hoover and Tristan Evans.

Vechery Racing heads to Rd 5 of the Mountain Dew ATV MX National Championship at Ironman Raceway in Crawfordsville, IN on May 30th and 31st. Be sure to follow Vechery Racing on Twitter and Instagram as well as Facebook for all of the team updates and results.
