This year round three of WORCS was held in Lake Havasu, which was last year’s opening round. The skies were cloudy and it started to drizzle. Just when everyone was expecting the worst, the rain didn’t materialize, but the temperatures did get pretty low and continued to drop as the day progressed. The last day of racing was some what better with sunshine poking through the clouds.
As the Pros lined up for Production Class race, we notice there were many missing regulars like Team Temecula Motorsports Mike Cafro and Levi Marana. The two were in Mexico Racing the San Felipe 250. Another rider everyone was asking about was Pro point’s leader Josh Frederick. Come to find out Josh was also down in Mexico racing his factory Bombardier Outlander 800 in the SCORE race. He then had planned to fly into Arizona to race the Utility Class, which he didn’t make. Josh arrived just in time to catch the ending laps of the Open Pro race where he rode a couple of laps to work out any possible bugs with his new machine.
In the end Doug Eichner took the pro and the point’s lead. Check out the photos and captions for more….
