Dealer Expo 2007

If you were unable to attend the 39th annual Dealer Expo in Indianapolis, no worries, we’ve got you covered here on the Scene.

Nearly 1,000 exhibitors were present representing more than 1,100 different companies. We’re happy to report that once again ATVs outnumbered all other segments at the show. There seems to be no slowing the ATV segment down – long live the All-Terrain-Vehicle!

Best of Show
Before you start clicking at our 28 video interviews and 300 photos and captions below here’s our short list of Best of Show Award Winners:

ImageCoolest Quad Hands down, Quinn Michael’s Outa Control Indianapolis Colts Suzuki LTR450R. Click the photo and check out the detail on Quinn’s masterpiece.

ImageCoolest Race Quad
Bud Fischer of Fischer Cycle Racing has probably created a cazillion race quads over the years, but this one on display in the ASV Innovations booth shines like no other. The lucky owner is Lexi Wren of Columbia, MO

ImageBest New Product
Our vote is for Houser Racing’s new Trick Track System. The Trick Track System automatically adjusts the front end’s caster providing more caster for better straight stability under hard acceleration and less caster for quicker cornering when the front end is weighted while cornering. This could be the most innovative new product of ’07.

ImageHardest Partier
This is a tough call as many of our bros really stepped up their party game this year, but we have to give it up to John Howell, Nick Nelson, Cassandra Clawson and the crew at Quad Magazine for throwing another grenade-like blitz, this year it was held at the Rock Bottom Brewery and nobody went home thirsty.

ImageNewbie Award
Virgin Dealer Expo attendee and pro TTer, Frank Batista, made the long haul from California to witness the biggest Motorcycle and ATV Expo on the planet. Frankie had a blast but in newbie-like fashion he didn’t lock down a place to sleep and ended up passing out on someone’s chair. Luckily he wasn’t hammed.

Worst of Show
All the Asian ATV manufacturers who use the show to gather more information to further aid their counterfeit quad operations. We’re not fans of unoriginal people who rip off the hard work of others to make a profit. Bottom line, spend a little more and buy a real Raptor 350 not a counterfeit.
