Dirt Series Round 8

Round 8 at Pala Raceway was the last round of the highly successful 2012 Dirt Series season. The day was packed full of great racing, great friends and great food. The Final round was a GP format of a 30-45 minute moto incorporating the MX track and some fun off-road areas.
The Dirt Series is unlike any other series. With great tracks like Pala Raceway the Dirt Series has the freedom to run different styles of racing testing not only speed but endurance as well.
There was a lot to race for in 2012 at Dirt Series! With all the helpful sponsors stepping up with so many wonderful products it’s no wonder why the racers flock to the Dirt Series. Triumph Motorsports, DWT, Motoworks, STI Tire and Wheel, Leatt, Quad Tech, Streamline, Dio Vonti, Allegiant, Bling Star, GBC, FLY, Fuel Custom, Lone Star, Fasst, PEP, Stealthworks, Fox Racing, ATV Scene.com really stepped up this year to help out the Dirt Series. Even though times are tough it’s refreshing to see such big support for for our great sport.
The Dirt Series is a unique eight-round MX/ATV/UTV racing series based in Southern California and presented by a ton of industry leading sponsors. Since the Dirt Series is offering over $65,000 worth of cash and prizes, and impressive contingency programs from GBC and STI that total over $20,000, the series grows with each and every round.

The Dirt Series offers the events that you hear about when it comes to a fun local no-pressure series. The goal for the weekend is to have a fun and safe time racing
Next year the Dirt Series will be adding Trophy Karts classes

GBC’s Dylan Dixon brought home the Pro win at Round 8, with the Pro Championship Purse sponsored by Triumph Motorsports
Emily Saieva made light work of the 90 open class
Triumph’s Jerry Maldonado took home the 450 Novice, Open 250 Championships, with a 3rd in the 450 Open class even with missing three rounds of the 450 Open class
Cory Dehoog took the ISA Prod 1000 over Championship; Cory had a great season, looking forward to seeing him back next season
GBC’s Kayla Smith won the ISA Prod 700 Championship
James Gorman ISA Prod 850 class Champion
Javier Palacios won the 450 Open Championship and won a set of 4 tires from GBC
Dustin Steinbeck Pro Am Champion
Triumph’s Christian Maldonado 450 Beginner Champion
Jerry Maldonado winning the 450 Novice won a set of Nerf Bars from Blingstar
Pro Shop’s Justin Christensen 450 Intermediate Champion – taking home loot from Leatt
