GBC Motorsports All Over the Podium At The Dunlop Tomahawk For Round 6 Of GNCC

Round six of the Grand National Cross Country series took place this weekend in Odessa, NY, home of the Tomahawk. GBC racers logged some impressive finishes as they tackled the flowing trails and fast paced grass track sections.
Forrest Whorton started off the winning ways for GBC by grabbing the early lead and never looked back as he took the win in the 4×4 Senior class. Robert Smith persevered through the dusty conditions to finish 5th in the 4×4 Pro class. Fellow GBC rider Scott Day finished up on top of the podium in the 4×4 A/B class. After four heated laps Scott managed to clinch a second place finish on his GBC equipped Can-Am.
In the Sport class, John Cunningham managed to put GBC Motorsports up on top of the podium with a strong 1st place finish aboard his GBC Motorsports backed Honda. Wayne Shay followed him closely in the 2nd place position. Shane Pitzer laid down some impressive lap times to snag a 2nd place finish in the Schoolboy Sr. class. Shane currently is sitting in first place in his class with 111 total points.
The #12 Yamaha of Kevin Yoho was dialed in as he was able to grab a top 10 finish coming in at 6th place in XC1 action. Johnny Gallagher snagged up an 11th place finish in the XC1 Pro class with an elapsed time of 02:27:51.109.
Marty Christofferson added another podium finish to his impressive repertoire with a 3rd place finish in the XC2 Pro Am class with a total time of 02:25:09.718. Marty is now sitting in 3rd place on the series with 128 total class points, just 15 points behind the leader. Thomas Koontz had a great ride and just missed the podium with a 4th place finish in XC2.
Kenny Shick rebounded after a rough race at Round 5 and battled for the College A class win throughout the entire day, ultimately finishing 2nd. In the Junior A class, we saw Dwight Pollard pilot his GBC equipped Honda to a first place finish, and he is currently tied for the class lead. Nathan Hornacek took a 3rd place finish, which was also Nathan’s best overall finish of the season for a second week in a row.
Coming back after his first win of 2015 last week, GBC Motorsports rider Bryan Filicky grabbed a 4th place finish in the Junior B class, putting him in 2nd place on the series. After his 2nd place finish last week, Todd Moskala laid down some even faster laps in the Vet B class, netting him a 1st place finish after 4 heated laps. Todd is now currently sitting in 5th place in the series with a total of 91 points.
