New Stuff from SCOTT, Including Airborne Helmet
- Updated: March 22, 2010
I was telling a friend of mine about SCOTT’s new helmet. He said, “I thought they just made goggles and sunglasses”. SCOTT is a worldwide powerhouse in Winter Sports, Cycling, Running and Motorsports. Ed Scott’s one man ski tuning business started off over 50 years ago. Over the years the Sun Valley, Idaho based company has pushed the envelope with creative out of the box designs, advanced materials and has constantly improved their linup year after year. With that said, besides SCOTT’s new Airborne helmet mentioned below, I’ve posted a few items that some might not realize Scott makes. First the reason for this post is Scott’s new Airborne helmet. It’s tested and raced by Austin Stroupe, the Airborne helmet is a lightweight helmet developed with safety and performance in mind. With an impact absorbing Tri-density EPS liner and a carbon fiber shell the Airborne helmet exceeds DOT, SNELL and AMA racing standards. The Scott Airborne (Grid paint job seen here) retails for $299 Now some other SCOTT USA items… Check out scottusa.com for way more info than I have posted here including great videos on their products and sponsored riders, ski teams, cyclists, runners and much more.
