Dana Creech (danacreechracing.com) added to his point’s lead by winning round four of the CCE Pro Quad Stadium Series. Creech put it all together with an impressive ride from start to finish on the well constructed supercross style motocross in Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego, CA.
Creech edged out Michael Walsh (Walsh Racecraft/Sheridan Race Products) and “Big” Nic Granlund (NGR Cannondale) in his heat race. Kory Ellis (Alba/ATV Scene.com) won his heat race with Jeremy “The So Cal Hick” Schell (Trinity Racing) in tow followed by Josh Frederick. Greg Stuart (Skat-Trak) won the final heat race. Ellis and his Alba Action Suzuki finished as the fast qualifier going into the main. Keith Little used the last chance qualifier to get into the big show after he broke a chain on his Lone Star 450CRF in his heat race.
In the main, Walsh pulled the early lead but wouldn’t hold on to it for long. Creech found a spot to pass early on and left his racing peers to fend for second on their own. By the time Ellis made it past Greg Stuart and Jeremy Schell and moved to the two-spot, Creech’s cushion was too big and too soft. Ellis did make up some ground, but he would need many more laps to come within striking distance of Creech. Little would have finished with a top five but broke yet another chain and rolled to a stop instead.
Creech took home the win and added three points on Ellis. Going into the final round of the series, Creech now leads by nine points while Ellis leads Walsh by four.
