Round one of this year’s Maxxis 6 Hours of ATV America is in the books. It was the lowest turnout in 6 Hours of America history, but the few that did enter were treated to great weather, contingencies, personalized awards and a great little track that featured much of the Wildcat Creek MX course.

The most notable ride of the day was undoubtedly that of Washington, IL’s Kim Muzzarelli who opted to try to tackle the six hours all by herself. With only one two minute break, Kim. known as “Team MissMuzz” logged a whopping 60 laps on her Yamaha YFZ, only 15 shy of the winning pro team. As the day went on Kim was encouraged and cheered on by every person in attendance.

With an hour remaining Kim pulled to a stop in the woods. Wildcat Creek MX owner Demetrious Knop Kim noticed she had not come through and quickly went to look for her. “I found her parked on the side of the track. She said she was done for the day, so I reminded her that there was only an hour left and that everyone was rooting for her to finish”, said Knop. “After the little pep talk, she continued on despite badly blistered hands and finished. I was really proud of her. I know I couldn’t have done it”.

After blasting through a technical railroad tie short cut nearly every lap, team Morphew Racing went on to win the overall and first place purse money.

Next stop on the Maxxis 6 Hours of ATV America Tour is in Arkansaw, WI on July 1. Read more about it at: 6hoursofatvamerica.com

Also note: Wildcat Creek MX will host stop four on the WPSA ATV Championship Tour. We’ll see you there!
