Mike Walsh

ImageI’ve known Mike, his dad and brother Nate for decades now, so while I was in Florida I stopped in on the Walsh crew at their new headquarters in Live Oak, Florida. While there Mike and I sat down and had a little discussion that I think you’ll want to check out…

Part 1
In part one of our four part conversation Mike talks about how the business and sport has grown since the early days of Walsh Racecraft in 1995. He also mentions his personal racing career, his feelings of production-based racing and gives much thanks to the many riders that have raced his brand over the last fifteen years.

Part 2
Mike introduces his best four wheeled project ever! It’s a hand made Walsh Racecraft frame hybrid that utilizes a 2009-2011 Honda CRF 450 engine and Suzuki LTR components. In part two of the video Mike also tells which quad he feels is today’s 250R. He also talks about the Walsh/DRZ 400 that Doug Gust raced in 2003 and its legacy, Walsh Racecraft’s dedication to the sport and he announces his personal plans to come out of ATV racing retirement.

Part 3
If you haven’t noticed today’s top professional quad riders no longer compete against one another – Mike provides his take on this. Also mentioned in part three of our sit down interview is his opinion of Josh Creamer and Cody Gibson, the NEATV MX Series, the old school ATV Nationals when TT and MX were combined, his opinion of sponsorship and the 2011 Walsh Racecraft Rider Contingency Program.

Part 4
In the final part of our interview Mike announces some hot new Walsh Racecraft products including their new engine performance department and an all new A-arm configuration that Jeremy Lawson will debut at round one of the 2011 ATV Motocross Nationals. Also in this video Mike talks on Walsh Racecraft’s 2011 goals, sponsored riders and his reunion with long time friend Josh Creamer, who will be racing a Bomb Squad/Walsh Honda at the 2011 WORCS.

This is so sick, and I am glad it’s exclusive to the Scene. Walsh is the man in so many ways when it comes to ATV Racing.

Glad to see the interview. I have two quads in my garage…both Walsh (250R and CRF). Not only are their products top notch, but customer service as well.
