Kory Ellis used his highly tuned Alba Suzuki Z 400 to win his heat, post the fast qualifier of the night and take home all the marbles in the main event at Edison International Field in Anaheim, CA, the second round of the five-round Pro Quad Stadium Series.

“It was total mayhem out there tonight. With all the lappers, we were passing rider after rider like mad. It went like this the whole race,” said Ellis while waiting at the payout counter for first place cash. “It all worked out tonight! I’m really excited about my Alba Z 400. We’ve been getting some serious power out of it, more than we even expected,” he added.

Lone Star’s Keith Little won his heat race to advance to the main where he pulled the holeshot with his highly tuned Sparks Racing 330R. Ellis tucked in behind Little, while Dana Creech (sponsorship unknown) pulled into a strong three spot. Ellis then spun out, but somehow only lost a few positions. Meanwhile Jeremy “The SoCal Hick” Schell (Trinity Racing) miscalculated and crashed out of contention. The race for the win had Anaheim fans on their feet as Ellis methodically used lappers to his advantage. He eventually snuck past Creech for the second place position and set his sights on Little’s charge though traffic for the win. With only two short laps to go Little made it easy for Ellis by colliding with a lapper. Ellis quickly advanced to the front while his home-state fans cheered on his every move all the way to the checkers. Little got hung up long enough to only gather a ninth place finish.

Dana Creech rode smart in Ellis’ wake to the checkers and held a respectable second place. Creech combined these second place points with those from his St. Louis victory to hold on to the championship series lead.
