I remember it like it was yesterday. The ATV industry was abuzz! A guy in California was filming an extreme sports video featuring ATVs. Some were all for it, others were against it. No one knew quite what to expect. That guy was H-Bomb’s Wes Miller, a die-hard ATV racer who had a dream. A dream to showcase ATVs in an extreme video like Crusty Demons of Dirt did with MX bikes. Well seven years later, H-Bomb is on its sixth installment of the hugely successful Huevos series. H-bomb is a household name in the ATV industry and the nay-sayers have been silenced. Miller has gone from a one-man show, to the head of a fast-growing company that is helping push ATVing to the next level. H-Bomb not only produces extreme ATV videos, but also promotes ATV racing and freestyle events such as the Dirt Riot, and distributes an entire line of ATV inspired casual apparel aptly called Division 4.
The ATVScene.com staff has had a few months to enjoy Huevos 6. We’ve watched it many times during benchracing sessions. It’s the most popular video around the office.
Wes Miller and the H-Bomb Squad never disappoint. H-6 is a top-quality video shot in 16mm film. The filming is spectacular. Technology and success have allowed Miller to truly showcase the intensity of ATVing through unique camera angles such as helicopter shots and miniature cameras mounted on board the ATV itself.
H-6 features some spectacular footage from the brutal Baja 500 and the world famous 12 Hours of Pont De Vaux endurance race in France. Miller brings viewers worldwide front row seats to some of ATVings most famous events without the travel expenses to France or Baja Mexico.
H-Bomb keeps it interesting and entertaining with footage of Bomb-Squad members Dana Creech, Jon Guetter and Wes Miller running for their lives during Spain’s “Running of the Bulls” week. For guys used to twisting the throttle on the track, they run pretty fast with a 2000 pound bull chasing them!
H-6 was shot on location throughout the U.S. and the world. Miller spared no expense, traveling to Hawaii, France, Spain, Minnesota, Montreal, California, Ohio and Pennsylvania to bring the viewer all types of ATV action. From ice racing in sub-zero temperatures on a lake in Minnesota to a stadium race in Montreal Canada with 60,000 screaming fans to highflying freestyle action in beautiful Hawaii, ATVs take center stage in unparalleled form.
Longtime ATVers can truly appreciate the progression of the sport through Huevos 1 to 6. No longer do 250Rs dominate the filming. H-6 features riders on all manner of currently available quads, not just $25,000 250R-based aftermarket machines.
Be sure to check out the bonus features on the Huevos 6 DVD. The director’s commentary version is particularly interesting as Wes Miller gives insight into what happened during the filming. Some of the bonus footage is a little raw though. Put the little ATVers to bed before watching it, since is does feature some foul language.
Wes Miller has outdone himself again. H-6 is a must have for all ATV enthusiasts. We are already anxiously awaiting Huevos 7!
