Weekend Warrior Full Throttle Wide Body 5th Wheel Trailer
- Updated: September 3, 2006
Even if you’re parked at a muddy ride spot, once inside, you’ll be smack dab in the lap of luxury. Seen here is the curved center wall, wide screen LSD flat screen television and entry steps to the upstairs. As part of getting the scoop at races throughout the country, as well as promoting them, accommodating the ATV Scene staff is no easy task. We started travels with a conversion van and moved to a 32′ Class C Motorhome. A 20 foot enclosed trailer was yanked around the country with both. Poor gas mileage, lack of room and the lack of mobility had us looking for a better alternative for the 2006 season.
Since as many as six people would be staying with us during our travels, we originally had visions of pulling the enclosed trailer with a Class A diesel pusher motorhome. After calculating the cost of the big Class A and its horrible gas mileage, a call to the legend of all ATV legends, Gary Denton, Weekend Warrior’s head honcho, was in order.
Gary told us about their soon to be released mack-daddy fifth wheel called called “Full Throttle”. It’s obvious We asked if he had something to do with naming the beast, sure enough he did. We knew it. Anyway, Gary said people are spending less than half the price of a Class A and they’re just as comfortable in a Weekend Warrior trailer. With a Duramax diesel equipped Chevy pickup and some mods from Bully Dog we were told we could expect double the mileage of one as well. Now you’re talking Gary! (Note: look for a report on the ultimate pick up pull truck with Bully Dog mods in the near future).
Our minds were made up. It was time to sell the Class C and move into Weekend Warrior’s biggest and best trailer, the ’07 Wide Body Full Throttle.
Weekend Warrior’s sharpest interior color scheme and exterior graphics use black, gray and tan colors. They call this their “Billet Edition”.
Ride Test
Since we needed the rear garage area of the trailer to triple duty as a cargo area, office area and fourth bedroom, we ordered our Weekend Warrior trailer with an additional two feet on the back, bumping it from 12 feet long to 14. Now, with the optional rear ramp enclosed room, we maintain the same square footage of living area and promoting space that we had in our 20 foot enclosed promo/vending trailer.
With Gary’s recommendation, we opted for the ultra-sharp special edition “Billet Interior”. As you’ll see in the pictures the choice was well made. Other mods include, well, every single option possible from Weekend Warrior. For a look at all the available options check out their website: warriormfg.com. A word of warning, you’ll want them all.
For a much more in depth look, we suggest you click the video below and allow ATV Scene’s John Pellan to give you the complete tour.
To date, we’ve put 20k miles on our new fifth wheel, triple slide warrior. After parking and sliding the slides out we basically have our own home and office with us even in the most remote places on earth. As far as floor plan, quality and comfort goes, we feel that Weekend Warrior disserves a medal, but our five star rating will have to do. In fact, every visitor that we’ve given the tour to is extremely impressed and jealous of our preferred living situation. Even the owners of luxurious diesel pusher motorhome owners are taken back after the walk through. All in all, we simply couldn’t be happier. Thanks to Weekend Warrior, we finally found the perfect ride.
M
ost people will use their rear garage to do what’s going on in this photo. We ask triple duty of ours; cargo, bedroom and office. It performs perfectly for us.
Conclusion
If you want to take your toys with you to the track, trail or dunes and you want to live in the lap of luxury while you’re there, there really isn’t a better and more affordable way to it than pulling one of Weekend Warroir’s Full Throttle fifth wheel trailers. Retail price is not cheap at $65k, but considering what you get and the freedom you’ll encounter the price doesn’t seem so bad.
